We believe in quality over quantity and with the correct love and care our jewellery is made to last a lifetime.
We use recycled sterling silver in all our pieces to ensure user comfort and longevity. However, over time silver can react to the oxygen in the air and become tarnished. We will explain how to prevent this and what to do if your silver does become tarnished.
One of the easiest ways to prevent your silver from tarnishing is to wear it often! We love this idea and encourage you to wear your Water Baby jewellery as much as possible!
However, be sure to remove your jewellery when near or using water or chemicals. For example, perfume, lotions or cleaning products. They can accelerate corrosion and tarnish.
When storing your jewellery you should keep it in a cool, dry place out of sunlight. We recommend using an airtight container with some anti-tarnish strips.
If your jewellery does become tarnished there are a few different methods you can try.
Soap and water: Use a few drops of mild dishwashing liquid in a bowl of warm water for around 10 mins. We recommending using this technique first because of the gentleness of the soap.
Baking soda and water: If that doesn't work try making a paste with baking soda and water. Use a cloth or toothbrush to gently scrub the silver.
Once clean make sure to thoroughly dry your silver. Then you can use a silver polishing cloth to make it shine and sparkle again.
